From the author's note in this prayer book From the Middle Ages, the Rosary has been promoted as a powerful intercessory prayer. ... I was asked to write a scriptural rosary about men for men. The irony in this request is that as an author of twelve scriptural prayer books, seven of which are scriptural rosaries, I should have thought of this idea myself. However, the Holy Spirit brings special people into your life to witness to you, so you can witness to others. At first glance, the reader might be concerned about repetition in this prayer book, especially if you have prayed my other prayer books. However, this meditation prayer book is wholly new and holy original. Does a scriptural rosary about men for men necessarily mean that a Marian prayer will become less Marian? On the contrary, Mary always points to Jesus. Mary, infused with extraordinary humility, will be guiding us to the foot of the Cross and through the gates of Heaven. Read the complete author's note Author's Note: Each of these holy men are paired with a Rosary mystery to show how in their life they imitated Jesus or his Blessed Mother Mary. Many, dare I say all, were devoted to Our Lady's Rosary, praying it daily and had it on their lips as their dying breath. It is not our intention to give a complete life story, just a glimpse. These holy men are on track for sainthood. If you are in a need of a miracle, look no further for help. |

"EVER SINCE Saint Dominic established the devotion to the Holy Rosary up until the time when Blessed Alan de la Roche re-established it in 1460, it has always been called the Psalter of Jesus and Mary. This is because i
It has the same number of Angelic Salutations as there are Psalms in the Book
of the Psalms of David. Since simple and
uneducated people are not able to say the Psalms of David the Rosary
is held to be just as fruitful for them as David's Psalter is for others."
What is the Connection? from St. Louis de Montfort's SECRET of THE ROSARY SIXTH ROSE: MARY'S PSALTER
from the Author's Note in this prayer book
"For many centuries, the Most Holy Rosary consisted of fifteen decades

St. Pope John Paul II recommended an additional set of mysteries, the Luminous. ...
For some, the addition of the Luminous Mysteries may
cause concern because of the departure from tradition ...
Rather we should be renewed and energized by the addition
of these new Luminous Mysteries, looking forward to a revitalization of
the praying of the Most Holy Rosary ...

From Genesis to Revelation: Seven Scriptural Rosaries.
To unveil the new Luminous Mysteries in light of Scripture,

from the Author's Note in this prayer book Fifty years ago, the crew of Apollo 8 read from the Book of Genesis as they orbited the moon. Astronauts Bill Anders, Jim Lovell, and Frank Borman recited Genesis chapter 1, verses 1 through 10. They started with “In the beginning, God created…” and they concluded with “God bless all of you, all of you on the good Earth.” ... Like those astronauts some fifty years ago, who recited the words “In the beginning…,” we too know that the God who has no beginning, gave us the breath of life and formed our world out of nothing. ... In the 1990s, I wrote From Genesis to Revelation. This prayer book was a collection of seven scriptural rosaries based on selections from the entirety of Sacred Scriptures. ... A Scriptural Rosary simplifies, yet spiritually edifies, the meditation process of the praying of the Most Holy Rosary. A Scriptural Rosary is a conversation with God. ... Pope Saint John Paul II in his 2002 Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae recommended praying a new set of mysteries called the Luminous Mysteries. The Luminous Mysteries filled in the chronological gap from the Fifth Joyful Mystery with Jesus as a boy of twelve to the First Sorrowful Mystery when Jesus begins His Passion in the Garden of Gethsemane. ... ... Over the years, I have had many requests to update the Seven Scriptural Rosaries in From Genesis to Revelation with meditations for the Luminous Mysteries. First, in 2004, Psalter of Jesus and Mary A Scriptural Rosary according to Psalms and Proverbs updated Book 4: The Psalms in From Genesis to Revelation. ... To unveil the new Luminous Mysteries in light of Scripture, I selected meditations from the thirty-one Proverbs, the wise words of Solomon. Next, in 2009, Pearls of Peace A Rosary Journey through the Holy Land updated Book 6: SS Peter and Paul in From Genesis to Revelation. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI declared a Jubilee Year of St. Paul from June 2008 through June 2009. I ... New St. Paul reflections were selected for the Luminous Mysteries. Keeping with the theme of Jesus’ life on earth, this prayer book was illustrated with photography from the Holy Land. Now, in 2019, I focus on the theme of Creation and how “In the beginning...” is a unifying theme to meditate on the entirety of the Gospels as reflected in the mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary. ... Great Gift for your Pro-Life Ministry. How did this unique Rosary come about? In December, 1997, Christine Haapala heard the Gospel selection "[Herod] ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under ..." Mt 2:16 Since January would mark the 25th anniversary of Roe vs Wade, she wrote this Scriptural Rosary to promote God's message of life and to ask forgiveness for the national scourge - the sins of abortion. By collaborating with Nancy Scimone, award-winning composer and soprano, the 1st Edition of the Sanctity of Life Scriptural Rosary was released in January, 2000, under the Saint Gabriel Media label. Pope John Paul II in his Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae recommended an additional set of mysteries be prayed during the Most Holy Rosary. The Luminous Mysteries "bring out the Christological depth of the Rosary." In this newest release, we again collaborate with Nancy Scimone and she not only composed new melodies for these Mysteries of Light, she also leads us in praying them. What are Rosary Messages of Life? The Joyful Mysteries focus on life and how "In [God's] hand is the soul of every living thing" Job 12:10 and "the fruit of the womb [is] a reward" Ps 127:3 The Luminous Mysteries focus on living the Catholic Sacramental Life - we reflect on the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Holy Orders during the Fifth Luminous Mystery - Do this in memory of me." Lk 22:19 and "You are a priest forever." Heb 7:17 The Sorrowful Mysteries give us the strength and courage to accept God's will in suffering and death, when we say like Christ did in the Garden of Gethsemane - "still, not my will but yours be done" Lk 22:42 The Glorious Mysteries allow us to hope in God's promise of eternal life - "Remain faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."
